Dear Friends and Neighbors in Maine House District 135
As you may have heard, legislative leaders have recently presented an alternate proposal for the state budget.
This proposal reconfigures Maine’s tax structure differently from the way the Governor has outlined. Most significantly, this new proposal doesn’t leave a large unfunded hole in future budgets the way the Governor’s does.
I am attaching a summary which compares the components of the two proposals.
